About Ghosted.report
Our Mission
Job searching is stressful enough. Candidates invest significant time and effort into preparing applications, participating in interviews, and completing take-home assignments. To be met with silence after all that effort - a practice known as "ghosting" - is disrespectful and unprofessional. It leaves candidates in limbo, unable to get closure or valuable feedback.
Our mission at Ghosted.report is simple: to bring transparency to the hiring process through shared, anonymous experiences.
Why We Built This
We believe that accountability is a two-way street. While companies evaluate candidates, candidates are also evaluating companies. A company's recruiting process is a direct reflection of its culture and how it values people. By providing a platform for candidates to anonymously report instances of ghosting, we aim to create a resource that:
- Empowers Job Seekers: Allows candidates to make more informed decisions about where they invest their time and energy.
- Encourages Accountability: Highlights companies with poor communication practices, encouraging them to improve their candidate experience.
- Fosters a Fairer Market: Promotes a hiring environment where clear and timely communication is the standard, not the exception.
How It Works
This site is built on the principle of anonymous, user-submitted data.
- Submit Anonymously: Anyone can submit a report without needing to create an account or provide identifying information.
- Search for Companies and Recruiters: Use a company's, or recruiter's, LinkedIn URL to find reports submitted by other users.
- Share and Inform: Use the information to guide your job search and share your experiences to help others.
We do not verify the accuracy of individual reports. Instead, we believe that the collective volume and patterns of data will reveal the truth over time.
Thank you for being part of this community and for helping to build a more respectful and transparent job market for everyone.
